Woolworths Limited is Australia’s No.1 retailer specialising in supermarkets, liquor, consumer electronics, apparel, general merchandise, petrol and more. We have more than 2,500 retail outlets located right across Australia.
In Australia we employ more than 160,000 people working in stores, distribution centres and support offices. Our support office in Sydney houses almost 3,000 support staff.
Our Company
We are listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) and in the top 10 ASX listed companies. In the last five years, sales have increased by an average of 12% per annum, we have developed retail and wholesale operations in New Zealand, India and Hong Kong and are continually reviewing the Australian and international market for expansion opportunities.
Community
Annually, we help to contribute around $15 million to Australian and New Zealand charities. We have been the single largest corporate supporter of Australian children’s hospitals for more than 10 years.
